Day 1: Canada - Madrid (Spain)
Flight with a good itinerary.
Day 2: Madrid
Arrival at the airport in Madrid. You will be greeted by our local representatives after exiting the customs and transferred to your hotel in Madrid. The rest of your day is free for you to relax or start your exploration of Madrid.
Day 3: Madrid - Salamanca - Vigo
After breakfast at the hotel, departure to Salamanca. A young and vibrant city, Salamanca's life revolves around its prestigious university, one of the oldest in Europe. The monumental Plaza Mayor, a baroque-style square from the early 18th century, is the busiest place in the city and it is worth a visit. Free time to discover Salamanca before continuing to Vigo. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Vigo. (Breakfast-Dinner)
Day 4: Vigo (Spain) - Viana Do Castelo (Portugal) - Braga - Porto
Breakfast at the hotel. Crossing the Portuguese border, you will arrive in Viana do Castelo, a small city located at the mouth of the river Lima. Time at leisure to visit the old town with its cobbled streets and emblazoned buildings, including the magnificent Santa Luzia Basilica, a byzantine church overlooking the city. Continuation to Braga, known as the city of the archbishops, the third largest city in Portugal. Free time to discover the most emblematic monuments of the city center before driving to Porto. Day 5: Porto
Following breakfast at the hotel, you will start a full-day guided tour of Porto, the northern capital of Portugal built hillside on the mouth of the river Douro. You will visit the old town, including the historic Ribeira district, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You will also see Porto Cathedral founded in the 12th century, the Stock Exchange building, and the beautiful Santa Clara Church whose facade is covered in blue tiles. Finally, you will have the opportunity to visit a local wine cellar and enjoy a tasting of the famous “Porto wine”. (Breakfast)
Day 6: Porto - Coimbra
Breakfast at the hotel and departure for Coimbra. A friendly and rather quiet city whose charm has been praised in numerous works of Portuguese literature, Coimbra is the site of the oldest university in Portugal founded in the 13th century. It is also the birthplace of the Fado, the music of Portugal characterized by mournful tunes and lyrics. Lunch with the group. Time at leisure to explore the charming city of Coimbra. Day 7: Coimbra - Fatima - Lisbon
After breakfast at the hotel, departure toward Fatima, an important Catholic pilgrimage center visited by nearly 5 million pilgrims each year. Free time to visit the Shrine before continuing to Lisbon, the capital of Portugal, one of the most charismatic and dynamic cities in Europe with a pleasant climate throughout the year. Evening free and overnight in Lisbon. (Breakfast)
Day 8: Lisbon
Breakfast at the hotel and half-day guided city tour of Lisbon. In a maze of sloping alleys and serpentine staircases, life in the old town of Lisbon is rhythmed by the sound of colorful streetcars, a favorite means of transportation among locals. You will visit Alfama, the most authentic district in the city, the Tower of Belem, erected in the 16th century to control the entrance of the city from the sea, and the Jeronimos Monastery which is a resting place for numerous historic Portuguese characters. Afternoon free to continue your exploration of the rich heritage of Lisbon. (Breakfast)
Day 9: Lisbon (Portugal) - Caceres (Spain) - Seville
Following breakfast at the hotel, you will leave Lisbon for the border with Spain and continue to Caceres, a medieval city listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Free time to explore the fortified old town and admire the stately homes of Gothic and Renaissance styles built between the 14th and the 18th century. Locals meet at sunset around the beautiful Plaza Mayor to share some delicacies. Continuation southward to Andalusia. Dinner and overnight in Seville. (Breakfast-Dinner)
Day 10: Seville
Breakfast at your hotel. In the morning, guided city tour of Seville, the Andalusian capital and the largest city in southern Spain. The only name of Seville evokes sunshine, tapas, flamenco and bullfighting. The city also has many architectural gems, a mixture of Gothic and Moorish style, that are witnesses of the Muslim conquest of Spain in the Middle Ages. You will see Seville Cathedral and the Giralda Tower, symbols of the Moorish style, the sumptuous Plaza de España, and María Luisa Park, one of the largest in Seville. You will also see Santa Cruz district, with its typical cobbled streets and flowered terraces, which become effervescent after sunset.Lunch with the group. Day 11: Seville - Ronda - Costa Del Sol
Breakfast and departure via the Route of the White Villages to Ronda, a city crossed in its center by the Guadelevin river carving out a steep 100-meter deep canyon. Free time to explore the old town and admire the breathtaking view from the Puente Nuevo bridge. Continuation toward the Costa del Sol where you will be able to enjoy an evening stroll by the Mediterranean Sea. (Breakfast-Dinner)
Day 12: Costa del Sol - Tangier (Morocco)
After breakfast, departure to board the ferry to Morocco via the Strait of Gibraltar. Arrival in Tangier for a panoramic tour where you will see the surroundings of Tangier, Grottos de Hercules and Cape Spartel. Free time in Tangier where you will spend the night. (Breakfast-Dinner)
Day 13: Tangier - Volubilis - Meknes - Fez
Breakfast at the hotel. Today you will go through the Middle Atlas, towards Fez. You will first stop in Volubilis to visit its Roman ruins which are paved and surrounded by spacious and decorated houses. Continuation to Meknés, known as the "Moroccan Versailles", which became the capital of Morocco under the reign of Moulay Ismail. You will visit its medina, its El-Hedim square and its famous Bab Al Mansour gate, probably the most beautiful in Morocco. In the afternoon arrival in Fez.Dinner and accommodation in Fez. Day 14: Fez
Following breakfast, you will start with a panoramic tour of Fez, the most ancient cultural and spiritual city of Morocco. You will then go to the medieval medina Fez El Bali, where some of the most beautiful buildings in the country can be found such as the Andalusian mosque and the al-Quarawiyyin mosque. Lunch in a typical restaurant and afternoon at leisure. Dinner and overnight in Fez. (Breakfast-Lunch)
Day 15: Fez - Casablanca - Marrakech
Breakfast at the hotel and departure to Casablanca, the largest city and business capital of Morocco. Free time for lunch and to visit the Great Hassan II Mosque, which was built by more than 3,000 artisans. Arrival in Marrakech in the afternoon. Dinner and accommodation in Marrakech. Day 16: Marrakech
Breakfast at the hotel and guided tour of Marrakesh, the second oldest imperial city known to Moroccan as the "Pearl of the South".
You will visit the Saadian tombs, the Koutoubia mosque from the 12th century, the Bahia Palace and Djmaa El Fna square, an heritage of humanity living museum.
Then, you will walk through the bustling and colorful souks, some of the richest in the country, where a thousand small trades rub shoulders in an extraordinary atmosphere. Free time at the square before lunch. Rest of the day at leisure. (Breakfast-Lunch)
Day 17: Marrakech - Rabat
Breakfast at the hotel. You will take the direction of Rabat, capital of the Kingdom of Morocco and official residence of the king. You will see UNESCO World Heritage Sites such as the Splendid Mohamed V Mausoleum, and the Hassan Tower, minaret and symbol of this city. Free time to visit the Kasbah of Udayas and the medina. Day 18: Rabat - Tangier - Costa del Sol (Spain)
Breakfast at the hotel and departure for the port of Tangier to board the ferry and cross the Strait of Gibraltar toward Spain. Arrival on the Costa del Sol for a relaxing evening by the Mediterranean Sea. (Breakfast-Dinner)
Day 19: Costa Del Sol - Granada
Following breakfast at the hotel, departure toward Granada, the jewel of Andalusia. Set in a majestic environment at the foot of the Sierra Nevada mountains, Granada is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful cities in Spain. Its historical and cultural heritage attract visitors from all around the world. During your visit, your will be amazed by the stunning Alhambra Palace and its Generalife gardens, the most prestigious example of the Muslim presence in Spain and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You will also be charmed by the troglodyte houses, dug in the rock at Sacromonte, which are still hosting some intimate flamenco shows. Dinner and overnight in Granada (Breakfast-Dinner)
Day 20: Granada - Toledo - Madrid
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for the former capital of Spain, Toledo. This magnificent city is located on a mountaintop surrounded by a bend of the river Tagus. Panoramic view from Mirador del Valle and walk into the fortified old town where you will be awestruck by the detailed facades of monuments such as the Synagogue of Santa Maria, the Alcazar and the Jewish Quarter. Then, continuation to Madrid. Overnight in Madrid. (Breakfast-Lunch)
Day 21: Madrid
After breakfast at the hotel, you will discover Madrid, one of the youngest capitals in Europe, a vibrant and captivating city. The Spanish capital stands out for its ancient heritage inherited from the reign of the Habsburg and Bourbon dynasties, the abundance of small districts, each with their own village atmosphere, and its cultural offer, including the Prado and the Reina Sofia museums. Enjoy an interesting panoramic tour of Madrid including the Gran Via and Plaza de España, the remarkable Plaza Mayor, Puerta del Sol, Puerta de Alcalá, and the legendary Real Madrid stadium, Santiago Bernabéu. Day 22: Madrid - Canada
After breakfast, greeting in the lobby of your hotel by our local representatives and transfer from the hotel to the airport for your flight home. (Breakfast)
