Day 3: Paris

Spend the day sightseeing at your leisure to take in the sites and discover all of the beauty this magnificent city has to offer.

Our suggestions for the day:

The Eiffel Tower

You may want to start with the Eiffel Tower, the unequivocal symbol of Paris, the mere colossal size of this monument is breathtaking and making your way to the very top and taking in this grandiose city from this viewpoint will be memorable.

Garden of Luxembourg - The Pantheon of Paris

Take the time to walk through the Jardins de Luxembourg (Garden of Luxembourg) created in 1612 surrounding the Luxembourg Palace, this beautifully sculpted garden, is known for its lawns, tree-lined promenades, and fabulous flowerbeds. Still on the left bank, in the 5th arrondissement, you can visit the Pantheon which overlooks the entire city. Admire the stunning detailed architecture dating back to the 18th century, why not stop for a moment and sit on its steps.

Sacré Coeur Basilica - Montmartre

Perhaps you prefer making your way to the right bank in the 18th arrondissement to visit the stunningly beautiful Sacré Coeur Basilica, built entirely of travertine; you can make your way up via the funicular. After that take, the time to browse through Montmartre, where you will find a wide array of artists at work, surrounded by cafes and bistros.

Notre Dame Cathedral - Le Louvre museum - Bridge Alexandre II

Don’t forget the infamous Notre Dame Cathedral, the magnificent Le Louvre museum, the ever-romantic bridge, Pont Alexandre II. Paris is the city that never stops giving sure to take in all that you can.

Day 4 - 5: Paris

Free day at your leisure to take in the sites, savor the delicious food and be a part of one of the most wonderful cities in the world.

Our suggestions for the day:

The Seine River which divides Paris into the Left Bank (Rive Gauche) and the Right Bank (Rive Droite), is an indispensable stop. Take a ride in one of the “bateau mouche” or riverboats with a guide ($), describing the various monuments and sites surrounding the river. Have a typical Parisian lunch on any park bench with a delicious baguette, some fine French cheese, and even wine.

Rue Mouffetard

Spend your evening browsing on one of the most infamous and animated streets in Paris, the Rue Mouffetard in the 5th arrondissement. Bistros, specialty shops offering fine cheeses and chocolate, fragrant flower shops and so much more. A favorite for tourists and locals alike. A truly Parisian thing to do!

Our suggestions for the day:

A great place to start is the Colosseum, possibly one of Rome’s most iconic monuments and an absolute must. See where centuries ago, crowds gathered to cheer on as gladiators collided in historic battles. Though partially in ruins, the Colosseum remains one of the most visited sites in Rome.

The Pantheon of Rome

You can then make your way to the Pantheon, one of the most remarkable examples of the greatness of ancient Roman architecture. Unclear as to the original purpose of this structure, though listed as a temple, it is used today as a Christian church.

Via Giulia - Via Margutti

In the evening, stroll along one of the city’s many animated streets such as the Via Giulia in the historic center of Rome or perhaps you prefer the many art galleries, restaurants, and museums all along Via Margutti.

Day 8 - 9: Rome

Breakfast at the hotel Free day at your leisure, to continue discovering and savoring all of the amazing sites this city has to offer. (Breakfasts)

Our suggestions for the day:

Vatican City: St Peters Basilica - Sistine Chapel

You may opt to make your way to Vatican City to visit St Peters Basilica which is the holiest and most important church in the Vatican City. Be sure to visit the Vatican museums and admire the breathtaking Sistine Chapel and Michelangelo’s masterpieces.

Piazza di Spagna - Via Condotti - Piazza Navone

You can spend the rest of your day browsing around the Piazza di Spagna or take a seat on the infamous Spanish Steps, before making your way up to the cathedral. Memorable! Once you're done make your way back down to head to Via Condotti in case you’re looking to spoil yourself with a luxury fashion item. Later on, why not head out to Piazza Navone, the largest of its kind, where bistros and coffee shops welcome you and give you a glimpse of what a coffee break in Rome is like. Spoil yourself to a delicious lunch and cappuccino.

Fontana di Trevi

In the evening make sure to make your way to the Fontana di Trevi (Trevi Fountain), even more, mystical when illuminated. Definitely the most famous and arguably the most beautiful fountain in all of Rome, it takes up nearly half of the square. With your back to the fountain, throw in a coin and make a wish ... legend has it you will come back soon to this marvelous city!

Short panoramic tour climbing up to Vomero hill to enjoy beautiful views over the Gulf of Naples with the Vesuvius, Capri, Ischia and Procida and the city below; time to take some nice pictures. After lunch, you will enter one of the most important archaeological sites in the world: a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the ruins of Pompeii, with Skip the Line entrance and a guided tour. Visit the haunting ruins of Pompeii, traveling back in time to the tragic days in 79 AD when the silent Mount Vesuvius suddenly erupted, covering the prosperous Roman city in deadly volcanic ashes and poisonous gases, leaving this prosperous city crystallized until our days. You’ll learn how people lived at that time, visiting houses and “bars” of the time, admiring frescoes and mosaics to imagine how rich and prosperous was the city before the dreadful day. After the visit, you will drive along the Sorrentine Coast, arriving in Sorrento for dinner (dress code: no shorts and no sandals for men) and an overnight in your new hotel. (Breakfast-Lunch-Dinner)

After returning to the port you’ll board on a minibus for a scenic drive to Anacapri, 918 feet (280 meters) above the sea level. You’ll see wonderful views of the bay of Naples before continuing to a local restaurant for lunch*.
